About Me

I started this blog in 2011. I had just graduated with my master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, just started my first full time job, had just gotten married, and had just moved into a new house with my husband.

That’s A LOT of change in the span of a couple of months.

During that time, in all the chaos, I really started to lose my sense of self. When everything in your world is in flux, in the scramble just to keep your head above water, it’s so easy to lose yourself.

So, I started this blog. It was originally titled, “If No One Else Listens to Me, At Least I Will.” It was a statement about trying to find myself through writing.

Now, a couple of years later, I can honestly say I’ve adjusted and this blog has evolved. Not to say it has any sort of direction, but it now focuses more on chronicling my life rather than examining it. Shortened to just, “At Least I Will,” it’s taken a more positive turn.

At least I will try.

At least I will be positive.

At least I will admit it.

So, take a look around. Can’t claim to be an expert on anything, but can anyone on the internet really? Follow along as we attempt to modernize our old fixer-up house, or as I try to finally master make up and style, or as I document our crazy little travels.

Or for just a girl who talks about her cats way too much.

Some Frequently Asked Questions:

What do you do for a living?
I’m a mechanical engineer. Without risking the privacy of my job, I’ll just say I work with robots at a large engineering company. And yes, it is as awesome as it sounds.

Where did you meet your husband?
I met Dan in our junior year of college. We had every single class together in our fall semester and by finals we were dating. He proposed in 2010 and we were married a little over a year later.

What do you do in your free time?
We aren’t very exciting people. We stay in most nights and weekends. I love to try new restaurants and hunt for good deals at garage sales and antiques fairs. Our biggest hobby, other than working on the house, is our trivia team. Every week, we put all that useless knowledge in our heads to good use. Apparently, we have a lot of it because we’ve been doing quite well lately.

How would you describe yourself?
Redhead. Female. 26 years old. Married. Cat lover of two spoiled fur-babies. Engineer. Vegetarian. Non-drinker. Big sister. No kids. Bored. Hopeful, yet pessimistic. Weakling. Loud. Car singer. Target shopper. Good cook. Student of DIY. Car girl.
